Egypt's Last and Greatest Queen: A Boo-Ography

Cleopatra was Egypt's last and greatest queen. Cleopatra means "her father's destiny" in Greek.

She married her brother Ptolemy to become Queen at the age of sixteen, but then her brother gained more power so she had to leave Egypt. She needed help from Rome so she came up with a plan. So she rolled herself up in a carpet to be given to Caesar. Caesar unrolled the carpet and as soon as he saw her it was love at first sight.

Caesar put Cleopatra back on her throne, but Ptolemy did not like it so he declared a war. Caesar won, and Ptolemy drowned in the Nile River.

Cleopatra's favorite goddess was Isis the goddess of magic and life. Cleopatra and Caesar fell in love and had a son.

After Caesar died Cleopatra fell in love with Mark Antony. She rode a special barge to meet him to make him fall in love with her. After Mark Antony fell in love with Cleopatra there were lots of wars in Rome. After Cleopatra got caught Mark Antony thought she got killed so he killed himself.

After he killed himself Cleopatra was so sad that he did that in 49BCE she went to his tomb and killed herself by drinking poison or by letting herself get bitten by an Asp.

Big Belly!

Last week I went to Big Belly Burgers and ate a burger that was as big as my face.

1/2 Pound Big Belly Burger as big as my face!

We were going to have dinner at home but we did not have time to make it, set the table and eat it in a half hour because it was a school night.

I ate the burger in about 15 minutes. It was as big as my face and then as small as my nose and then it was gone. It was so big that my dad bet me that I could not eat it, but I bet I could so I got $10.00 just for eating it and a couple of french fries. 

It all started because I ordered a kids cheeseburger and they accidentally got me a grown-up cheeseburger. It was like half a cow and a year ago I would not eat the tiniest nibble of a cheeseburger. And they gave me a pretty big side of extra pickles. I ate two sides of extra pickles because I got one first, but my burger was supposed to have just ketchup but it had lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions, and mayonnaise.

We also got some kind of sweet potato fries, they were so good, but the waitress kept calling them the wrong thing.

Now you know about the time I ate a cheeseburger as big as my face at Big Belly Burgers right down the neighborhood road.

Avery

Avery Mackenzie is my cute baby cousin. She was born on May 25th. She has two brothers named Keegan and Bennett who are also my cousins and they are twins. Her parents are my Uncle Jeff and Aunt Amanda.

I am counting the days until she comes to visit in November. It would be sad if there was a storm in November and her flight was cancelled.

Right now she is 3 months and 20 days old. Even though she lives halfway across the country, I have three pictures of her on my desk so that I can look at her every day.

My First Blog

Today I am writing my first Blog. I am going to tell you a little about me. 


I want to be a dancer when I grow up so badly. I have been dancing for almost 5 years. This year is my 5th year. Nothing can stop me from dancing except for a hurricane. 


I hope someday Nigel Lithgow will read this because I want to be the winner of So You Think You Can Dance and he is the main Judge. I think Kat Dealy is pretty, also. Especially when she wears her hair up in a bun type style so it looks like she has a bob haircut. I have always wanted to have my dance recital on the So You Think You Can Dance stage. I think So You Think You Can Dance inspired me to want to be a dancer because I watched the show before I ever went to dance class. 


To Lauren, the winner of So You Think You Can Dance Season 7, I think you are very pretty, you are a very great dancer, and I hope I dance like you someday! I think you deserved to win!
